Capture Higher Ed Welcomes New Partner Manor College

Introducing one of Capture Higher Ed’s newest partners, Manor College in Pennsylvania.

Located on a 35-acre campus just outside Philadelphia in Jenkintown, Pa., Manor is a private, independent, Catholic college offering associate and bachelor’s degrees through highly competitive, career advancement programs. The college serves approximately 700 undergraduate students through more than 30 in-demand programs.

Manor was founded in 1947 — it was originally St. Macrina’s — by the Byzantine Ukrainian Sisters of Saint Basil the Great, an order that dates back to the 4th century. In 1959, the school was chartered and incorporated into the state higher education system as Manor Junior College. Forty years later, in 1999, it dropped the “Junior” from its name to reflect the college’s growth, expansion and place in the Philadelphia suburban community.

Today, Manor College offers two-year programs in allied health, science and mathematics; business, technology and legal studies; as well as the liberal arts. It also features a University Center where students can continue to the bachelor’s degree level through university partners that offer programs on Manor’s campus.

With roots in the Ukrainian-American community, the college also fosters an awareness and appreciation of Ukrainian heritage and culture through its on-campus Ukrainian Heritage Studies Center, which was established in 1977. The center features academic studies, a Ukrainian library, a museum collection of Ukrainian traditional arts and an archives division.

Manor offers a tight-knit campus community with clubs and extracurricular activities that cover a wide range of interests. The school has six NJCAA Division II and III sports teams. The Blue Jays compete in the Eastern Pennsylvania Athletic Conference (EPAC) and NJCAA Region 19.

According to the school’s mission: “Manor College believes that personalized education in the Judeo-Christian tradition generates a commitment to a peaceful world, which inspires confidence in the present and hope for the future. Manor’s Basilian environment enables students to fully develop as individuals and instills an understanding of scientific, humanistic and ethical principles so students form a global vision.”

We are proud to welcome Manor College into the Capture family of partners.
