Where To Focus Your Time and Energy: A Tale of Two Sara’s

Capture Higher Ed has been running its marketing automation software, Capture Behavioral Engagement (CBE), on its partners’ websites for almost two years. The insights have been astonishing. One of the biggest has been how CBE can help them focus their valuable time and energy.

A recent example is what we call, “A Tale of Two Sara’s.” In this instance, CBE identified two prospective students both with the name of Sara — Sara A and Sara B.

  • Sara A had filled out a partner inquiry form but had not been back to the university’s website in more than three months.
  • Sara B had not filled out an inquiry form (her status was “Non-Responder”), but she was on our partner’s website searching academic programs, housing and student life nearly 100 times in the past month.

Thanks to CBE, it was clear that our partner should focus its admission team’s energy and time on Sara B.

Can you imagine what you could do with this knowledge on a day-to-day basis?

We think CBE is the next breakthrough in enrollment management and marketing automation software. This technology, which has been in use in the private sector for years but is still relatively new to higher education, perfectly blends with how prospective students are researching and learning about your college or university.

Every single student who will attend your university is visiting your website. But do you know what they’re interested in? Do you know when they’re most engaged? Do you know who your stealth applicants might be?

That’s where CBE comes in. It provides this insight on all your prospects and lets you immediately communicate with them one-on-one based on their interests, while gathering powerful and influential behavioral data to improve data-driven recruitment.

Check out this two-minute video to find out if CBE, Capture’s marketing automation software is right for you. Or contact us directly. We always love to hear what’s going on in your office.
