Capture Higher Ed is proud to introduce one of its newest partners, Stevenson University.
Located in suburban Baltimore — on two beautiful campuses in Stevenson and Owings Mills, Md. — the institution is the third-largest independent university in Maryland with more than 4,100 students pursuing bachelor’s, master’s and adult undergraduate degrees.
Offering an excellent liberal arts education with a strong focus on practice, Stevenson’s tagline reads: “Imagine your future. Design your career.” This emphasis can be seen in Stevenson’s “Career Architecture” model, which mentors students through a framework of theory and practice and has resulted in historically high job and graduate school placement rates.
Founded in 1947 as a college specializing in medical-secretarial training, Stevenson has developed a comprehensive university model over its rich 70-year history and now encompasses seven schools: the Brown School of Business and Leadership, the School of Design, the School of Education, the School of Humanities and Social Sciences, the School of Health Professions, the School of the Sciences, and the School of Graduate and Professional Studies.
The university also offers more than 50 student clubs and organizations, a wide variety of arts and cultural programs, 27 Division III athletic teams and much more.
According to its website, Stevenson’s mission is to be “an innovative, coeducational, independent institution offering undergraduate and graduate students a career-focused education marked by individualized attention, civility, and respect for difference. The University blends the liberal arts with career exploration and planning, complementing a traditional education with applied learning beyond the classroom. The University meets students where they are and supports and challenges them to become reflective and accomplished individuals committed to a lifetime of learning and contribution. Students graduate with the competence and confidence needed to address creatively the opportunities and problems facing their communities, the nation, and the world.”
Capture is proud to welcome Stevenson University into our family of partners.
